Choose where your recordings are processed

The account owner or an admin decides how far AI analysis may go: our own hardware only, Sweden or the world. Nothing goes further.

Plan: Premium

For an account that must know where its content goes: a company with customer data, a school, anyone with a policy to follow. Transcription and speaker identification run on our own hardware in Stockholm; AI analysis runs by default at Berget.ai, in Sweden.

The account owner or an admin sets the processing boundary: how far AI analysis may go. Nothing is sent outside it. If no service inside it answers, the work waits and the account is told.

What you need

  • An account on Premium or Enterprise. Free never reaches an external AI provider, so there is nothing to choose.
  • The account owner or an admin.

Steps

  1. Settings
  2. Choose the boundary
  3. Each recording says where it ran
  1. Step 1: Open the setting

In the Web App, open Inställningar (Settings) and find Where your recordings are processed.

  2. Step 2: Choose the boundary

Our own hardware only: AI analysis stays on our machines. Sweden, the default: Berget.ai in Sweden as well. World: also a provider in the USA, asked not to keep the content. EU is listed but not available yet. Only the account owner or an admin can change it.

  3. Step 3: Decide about the meeting notetaker

The notetaker’s recording service stores meetings in the EU and processes them in the USA. Below World, the owner or an admin accepts this once before the first notetaker is sent; the meeting’s transcription and analysis then follow the boundary.

  4. Step 4: See where each recording ran

On a recording’s page, Where this was processed lists each step (transcription, speaker separation, analysis, summary) and where it ran.

What happens next

  • AI analysis never goes further than the boundary. If every service inside it fails, the work waits and you are told.
  • With your own AI key, your provider is the only external one; Settings says if the key widens the boundary to the provider’s country.
  • For the strictest case, local-only processing, on request.
